In the spirit of BarCamp and the original StartupWeekend, we are planning on hosting an intense weekend of programming, designing, brainstorming, idea stretching, marketing, and entrepreneurship to get an internet startup (and its first prototype) up and running in a weekend!

We are using this wiki to organize the weekend, set up goals and a game plan for the company, and talk about ideas for the company's first product. We will all collaborate and prior to the event, choose a product/service which we think we can build ( a working prototype ) in a weekend.

Anybody who completes the weekend and contributes to our working prototype will receive founders' shares in the company. Lets get going!

Goals

Discuss if anything should be donedifferently than at the original StartupWeekend
Collaborate together on an idea for an internet startup
Decide on which idea to pursue as well the development platform
Come together in the magnificent city of Chicago to work on the business and its first product/service
Release a working prototype of the product, no matter what the cost (no sleep, decreased scope, etc), by Sunday night at Midnight
Continue to run the compay

I don't get it. What is this?
StartupWeekend Chicago is a weekend event based on the orginal StartupWeekend and BarCamp. Basically we are planning on coming together to create a business from an idea decided here in the wiki.

Does it cost anything to attend?
The only cost to you is getting and staying here. The event is completely open and free.

Where can I sleep?
Many people will be trying to stay up as much as they can at the event. If you need beauty sleep, there are many hotels in Chicago. Or, we could probably find somebody to give you some floor / couch space if you need it.
